What this place is, and how to find your way around it.

What CanticleScript is

CanticleScript is Scripture, sung. Passages of the Bible become songs — you can read the text, listen to what others have made from it, make a song of your own, and keep the ones that stay with you.

Finding your way around

The bar along the bottom holds five doors:

  • Read — the Bible and the Stories drawn from it.
  • Create — make a song from a passage.
  • Listen — your songs and playlists, the whole Bible in song, and what the community has shared.
  • Explore — the community: songs, collections, journeys, voices, people, and the Chapels.
  • Me — your personal hub: saved songs, people you follow, your history and rhythm.

Search from the search disc at the top of a section. It searches where you are standing: Scripture and the Stories under Read, your own library under Listen, the whole catalogue on the Canon.

Songs you download are kept on this device and play without a connection — they live under Downloads, where you can see what each one costs in space and remove any of them.

Making a song

Open Create. There are a few ways in — begin from a passage, from a thought of your own, or from scratch — and each leads to the same short path:

  1. Choose the scripture — a passage, or a Story that carries one.
  2. Name the feeling you bring to it.
  3. Choose the sound it should wear.
  4. Review, then let the song be woven. It arrives in Listen when it is ready.

If you step away mid-way, your draft keeps your place and the wizard reopens where you left off.

Reading, and the room around a passage

Readis one shelf of all seventy-three books, grouped by the canon’s movements. Open a book and choose how to read it: Bible for its chapters, or Stories for the narratives drawn from it — each one a short road of passages you can carry straight into Create.

Inside a chapter, select verses to enter that passage’s room — the place where the songs and reflections made from those verses gather. From there you can listen, reflect, or carry the passage into Create.

Listening

Listen holds three views:

  • Songs — your library. Your playlists sit at the top of it; everything you have made or kept follows.
  • Canon — the whole Bible in song, in order. Pick up where you left off, or open any book.
  • Community — songs and collections other people have shared.

Reflections, 🕊 and ♥

A reflection is a few words you write in response to something — kept privately in your journal, or shared for others to read. Every shared reflection is anchored: to a passage, or to a song.

Readers can leave one quiet mark on a reflection — 🕊 when it is anchored in a passage, ♥ when it is anchored in a song. One mark, and the kind follows the anchor.

Your daily rhythm

Today’s reflection offers a verse and a prompt each day. What you keep in your journal stays private, untouched by any AI; sharing is always a separate, deliberate step.
