Story · 5 parts
A poet stares into the ruin of Jerusalem and grieves: the sons of Zion, once precious as gold, are now worthless as clay; nursing children go hungry and their mothers boil them for food; the prophets and priests whose sins brought Yahweh's fire upon the city now wander the streets blind and polluted; and the survivors watch the roads for help that never comes, hunted down on every side.
