The New Jerusalem

John sees the holy city New Jerusalem descend from heaven — walled with jasper, gated with pearls, measured in pure gold, lit by God's glory with no temple and no sun — and hears God promise to dwell with his people, wipe every tear, and give life freely; Christ declares three times that he is coming quickly, John prays for him to come, and the book closes with a benediction of grace.
