Paul Warns of Difficult Times

Paul warns Timothy that the last days will bring waves of vice and false teachers who wear religion as a mask — and that anyone who chooses to live godly will face persecution while evil only deepens; he steadies Timothy against that cost by pointing him to Paul's own endured sufferings and to the God-breathed Scriptures that have equipped him since childhood.
