Micah's Prophetic Calling

Yahweh's word comes to Micah as a vision, and the opening oracles surge from theophany — mountains melting, valleys splitting as Yahweh descends — to twin announcements of ruin: Samaria's idols smashed and its foundations laid bare, and then the wound spreading south until judgment reaches Jerusalem's own gate, where Micah breaks into personal lament.
