Israel's Wilderness Wandering

Before leaving Horeb, Moses appoints tribal leaders and judges to help him govern the people, then leads Israel through the wilderness to Kadesh Barnea, where the spies bring back good fruit but the people refuse in fear to enter the land; God swears that the faithless generation will never see Canaan, and thirty-eight years of wandering pass until every last man of war from that generation has perished.
