Enemies Oppose the Rebuilding

When neighboring peoples offer to help rebuild the temple and are refused, they spend years weakening the builders and hiring officials to frustrate the work; then in the days of Artaxerxes their leaders send a letter warning the king that Jerusalem is a rebel city whose finished walls will cost him his revenues and dominion across the river.
