Story · 4 parts
Paul builds his case from Abraham: faith — not works — was credited as righteousness, and circumcision came only afterward as a seal, making Abraham father of all believers whether circumcised or not; the promise to inherit the world then extends through that same faith to every nation, reaching its climax when Abraham, facing his own dead body and Sarah's barren womb, did not waver but stood fully convinced that God could do what he had promised.
