God of the broken-hearted, we do not ask you to explain. We ask you to stay. Be near to those whose person is missing from the room, whose ordinary Tuesday has become unbearable. Give them company that does not rush them, and sleep that does not frighten them, and, in time, a morning that is bearable. Amen.
